Sunday, January 29th, 1300-1600
Join the staff and Midshipmen crew of the United States Merchant Marine Academy Training Vessel Liberator for a cruise on Narragansett Bay showcasing how the vessel is utilized as a navigation laboratory.
Participants will have the opportunity to try auto pilot, electronic chart plotting, gyro-compass and learn about the ship’s integrated navigation set up.
Participation is limited to 20 people. Vessel will depart and return to the Newport Shipyard (across the street from the conference hotel) [updated]. Please arrive no less than 15 minutes prior to the 1300 departure time. Dress appropriately.
