We are delighted to announce that nominations are still being accepted for our annual Sail Training Awards until December 1stTall Ships America wants to recognize those excellent individuals and programs that blew your mind, that continue to inspire our tall ship family, and challenge us to get out of our comfort zone. We want to celebrate their excellence by recognizing them in front of their peers and let them revel in the fact that they were nominated by their community for changing lives and continuing the tradition of sailing and sail training.

But we need your help! Since we are (sadly) desk bound for most of the year, you are the voice from the front lines we need to hear. Tell us who you think deserves to be nominated in the following categories:

Lifetime Achievement

2012 Sail Trainer of the Year

2012 Sail Training Program of the Year

2012 Sea Education Program of the Year

2012 Volunteer of the Year

All members in good standing are eligible to nominate candidates for the 2012 Sail Training Awards.  (Nominees must be current members of Tall Ships America)

Email your nominations with supporting documents to Lori Aguiar, Director of Operations, lori@tallshipsamerica.org or mail to Tall Ships America, Attn: Lori Aguiar, PO Box 1459, Newport, RI02840.

Deadline for submissions is December 1, 2012.
