Kathleen Moore is a researcher for the national security community specializing in evaluating trust and credibility in social media, its use during extreme events, and computer mediated crisis communication. Kathleen is near completion of her PhD in Information Sciences and Technology at the PennsylvaniaStateUniversity – when she isn’t volunteering on tall ships. Her dissertation on social media interaction surrounding the sinking of the HMS Bounty will be published in 2014.

Brian Arnone has been in the ticketing industry since 1996, and loves the opportunity to make meaningful connections with people through the power of live events. Brian has found himself in the role of leader, trainer, speaker and salesperson through numerous management positions in Client Services and Sales & Marketing, including Director of Client Services for TicketWeb, Vice President of Sales for MAXtix, and Vice President of Business Development for Enta USA. Brian has worked with a variety of organizations in his career, including music venues and promoters, professional sports teams, performing arts centers and theaters, museums, fairs, and festivals. If he could book his dream festival, it would be headlined by Radiohead, Arcade Fire, and U2. If it’s possible to have a simultaneous showing of any and all Pittsburgh sports teams, that would be ideal.

Ram Krishnan is the senior vice president of Active Network and the senior general manager of ACTIVE Network Communities. In this role, he oversees the communities business.  Krishnan joined ACTIVE Network in December 2012 and is tasked with leading a +$100MM Business unit with double digit growth. Prior to Joining ACTIVE Network, Krishnan spent many years at General Electric working in the Financial Services, Corporate and Healthcare Divisions.  He spent the last 10 years in Healthcare in roles focused on product leadership, field operations, and general management.  His last role was leading a $600MM global software business focused in Healthcare IT.  He has led large global teams of greater than 1,000 employees focused on market penetration, generating leverage and scaling global platforms and building world class products and services. Krishnan holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.  He gets active by hiking, exercising and chasing his little kids around the house! Krishnan has spoken at numerous industry events, user group meetings, and internal company meetings.
