Buzzfeed Presents…Why You Should Nominate Your Shipmate For An Award

At Tall Ships America’s 42nd Annual Conference on Sail Training & Tall Ships, we will be presenting a select group of sailors and sail training supporters with awards for their contributions to the industry.

Don’t get mad that your favorite shipmates weren’t selected, like THESE BIG BABIES



1) Select the officers, crew members, volunteers, staff members or ships that have greatly impacted you.

> View past award recipients

2) Determine which award they are best suited for:

> Lifetime Achievement
> Sail Trainer of the Year
> Sail Training Program of the Year
> Sea Education Program of the Year
> Volunteer of the Year

> View descriptions of each award

3) Write a short statement (500 words) about why this person should win.

> Include additional documents if you choose

4) Email or mail your nominations to Lori Aguiar by DECEMBER 1ST, 2014:

Deadline for submissions is December 1, 2014.
