Bringing the Experience Aboard to The World Via Video

Presentation
Bringing the Experience Aboard

You absolutely have a unique and amazing culture aboard your vessel and at your events. Are you showcasing and drawing people in to your experience with the media you currently have? Life aboard and around the ships we love is a very engaging, emotional and enthralling experience that video is uniquely capable of portraying.

In this session we will pull back the curtain on a recent project we ourselves undertook to produce 11 individual videos ranging in length and format, capturing all aspects of life aboard a Sea|mester vessel. From start to finish, including all the considerations, pitfalls, and ultimate successes, we will attempt to help you get a more complete grasp of what it takes to bring your vessel’s experience to life via video…. and then what to do with it once you have it.

As a Business and History student at the University of Oregon, Kyle decided to study abroad his Junior year by attending a fall voyage with Sea|mester. Kyle attests that the experience was so life changing, that soon after graduating he made it his goal to return. In the summer of 2006, Kyle became part of the Global Expeditions Group team as an operational staff in the British Virgin Islands, while over the next three years also working for Sea|mester programs.

During this time, Kyle attained his 200 gross ton Master of Yachts Offshore captains license and his PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Certification. After taking a year’s hiatus working in the field of enrollment services in High Education, Kyle brought his knowledge and passion for experiential education back to Sea|mester where he is the Director of Enrollment.
